The word nature is derived from the Latin word natura, or “essential qualities, innate disposition”, and in ancient times, literally meant “birth”.[1] Natura is a Latin translation of the Greek word physis , which originally related to the intrinsic characteristics that plants, animals, and other features of the world develop of their own accord.[2][3] The concept of nature as a whole, the physical universe, is one of several expansions of the original notion; it began with certain core applications of the word φύσις by pre-Socratic philosophers, and has steadily gained currency ever since. This usage continued during the advent of modern scientific method in the last several centuries.[4][5]
NATURE BEAUTY |
| "I declare this world is so beautiful that I can hardly believe it exists." The beauty of nature can have a profound effect upon our senses, those gateways from the outer world to the |
inner, whether it results in disbelief in its very existence as Emerson notes, or feelings such as awe, wonder, or amazement. But what is it about nature and the entities that make it up that cause us, oftentimes unwillingly, to feel or declare that they are beautiful?
Nature can be found everywhere and all of its beauty is unique. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall produce beauty in all different shapes, sizes, and climates making the seasons different in so many ways. All the way from tiny little snowflakes to colorful foliage, to a handful of smooth, silky sand, beauty in nature is everywhere.
